Where we live and where we work has a direct connection to the quality of our health and well being. Our home should be a place where we relax, eat, sleep and socialise.

Do you know your home?

  • What did you think of your home when you first moved?
  • Why did you buy it?
  • Was it a decision in which a lot of thought had been put in?
  • Was it a joint decision with a partner, relative or friend?
  • Did all parties agree this home was good for the family, for you as an individual or as a couple?
  • Do you think having had second thoughts the right decision to move was made?
  • Where did you live before?
  • Was it an old house or new?
  • How would you compare where you now live to earlier homes.
  • Where did you live in your childhood?
  • Compare all the houses, flats and properties in which you have lived to date.
  • Why did you move into any of your homes, what redeeming features were you looking for generally?
  • Did you regard location as the priority?
  • Was it convenient for good schools, easy commuting to the workplace?
  • Was it a house in the country in which to retire, a town house convenient for shopping?
  • Who lived there before you?
  • How did they live their lives?
  • Were they happy or were there many financial, physical or emotional problems?

Our home is an extension of our personality. Our physical and emotional comfort is often based on the above questions. Whatever our experiences since moving, we are aware of whether we are feeling or sensing that our home is benefiting our well being or not.

Whilst we employ surveyors to check the physical condition of a property before we buy it, we rarely check out the emotional and psychic atmosphere of our home as well, although it would appear practical and just as important to do so.

Some homes have been built on negative ley lines, affected by geopapthic stress and sick building syndrome, some homes are haunted by ghosts and the sad memories of those that lived and died in that place many years before. All of this can affect our heath, well being and psychological state.

The Psychic Detective

During the past 15 years, Terry O’Sullivan has turned his attention to the plight of people who live in properties or on land that is haunted or infused with negative atmospheres. He states that to identify these problems as an actual cause of people’s worries is much like detective work, by a process of elimination. As a psychic detective getting rid of unwanted atmospheres and presences, he has worked in stately homes, offices, warehouses, hotels, flats, nightclubs, TV studios, health centres and even churches.

Haunted Houses
It is always advisable before you move house to check out your proposed home in the local archives, to discover what the site was used for in the past. The most haunted places are often old hospitals, mental asylums, plague pits, burial sites, war torn places, even pubs, clubs and hotels that were frequented by the local population. Read more

Negative Emotional Memories
We rarely stop to think about the subtle changes in nature between the different rooms in our house or different parts of the landscape where we live. Only when there is a dramatic or overwhelming difference do we notice, such as if we walk into a room where someone has died or has been convalescing from a long illness, it may leave residual pervading feelings of melancholy or coldness in the room.
